Student Wellbeing
The school’s Student Wellbeing program clearly reflects an ever increasing emphasis on the personal safety of students and their emotional health.
The school’s agreed values will continue to demonstrate the behaviour that is expected at this school.
Individual class discipline plans will continue to be negotiated with students and consequences acted on when the need arises.
The school’s educational psychologist, speech therapist and the school nurse will support and supplement the important work done by Meadowglen staff.
The strong partnership between the home and school will ensure that students don’t ‘fall through the cracks’.
The school will continue to articulate to parents and students the standards of behaviour that we expect.
This will be achieved through phone calls home, meetings with parents, both formal and informal, and through various other methods of communication.
Our leadership team made a Powerpoint presentation on Student Wellbeing
at Meadowglen Primary School. It illustrates our 12 core values and also
provides an
in-depth look at our participation in the 'You Can Do It!' program, a
collaborative program for student achievement that centres around four
Foundations for Achievement: Confidence, Organisation, Persistance and
Getting Along.
